Araiá Paradis is a London-based lifestyle brand inspired by the “Joie de Vivre”. The timeless designs blur the line between luxury and everyday attire, creating charming, elegant and effortless signature pieces to be worn around the world. An artistic expression through rich colours, classic silhouettes and delicate cuts to accentuate the natural beauty of our free-spirited women. 

The founders, Amira and Mia continue to make exclusive collections, not following any given trends, finding artistic inspiration from cultures, experiences and beauty, acting as a muse for fresh ideas. Each collection holds its own unique concept, from the creative direction, the story behind it, as well as the designs and materials used.

Our mission is to continue growing every year sharing a new aspect of this lifestyle and having a focus on sustainability throughout. Additionally, it is important to us that we collaborate with other young creatives, to inspire one another and help each other grow.

Meet the Founders

After studying at University of the Arts London, Mia and Amira merged visions, which led to the creation of Araiá Paradis (pronounced: A-ray-a Para-dees) in London 2022. Amira from both Cyprus and Pakistan raised in London, and Mia from both Lebanon and China raised in Hong Kong saw this new beautiful culture emerge of young-spirited, international individuals. A connection through a celebration of diversity and art. This is the story of Araiá Paradis, a niche within a niche, a brand born of this culture and lifestyle. Araiá Paradis’s goal is to create more products in the years to come; with the first collection introducing a line of timeless and luxury womenswear, that can be worn around the world, making women feel powerful and elegant. 

The Meaning Behind our Name

The name Araiá is derived from the combination of the letters in Mia and Amira’s names. The last word ‘paradis’ is a French word, meaning heaven or paradise. This word aims to connect the brand to this feeling of paradise, wearing clothing that feels free and ethereal. The brand’s goal is to be a constant source of creative inspiration. 

The Story Behind Collection I

Based on one of the founder's Chinese heritages, we decided to explore China’s authentic silk. 
There is a legend that believes a Chinese Empress Xi Ling Shi discovered silk when a silk cocoon fell into her teacup while sitting under a mulberry tree. The cocoon dissolved and the Empress saw these magnificent threads that held the cocoon together. 
In the past, an important role for women in rural regions was creating these fine silks fabrics. Planting mulberry, raising silkworms, unreeling silk, making the thread, and designing and weaving fabric. Due to China’s rich history and expertise in silk production, we decided to use silk straight from its origin.  
A core value of Araiá Paradis is the high quality and longevity of the products in terms of lasting and use, as well as sustainability. Silk is durable and is a natural material so does not shed any microplastics. As silk is made of lightweight natural fibers, it naturally regulates temperature so it’s perfect for different seasons. The appearance of silk is beautiful and delicate but it is one of the strongest natural fibers, ‘one filament of silk is stronger than a comparable filament of steel’.

The Story Behind Collection II

Araiá Paradis takes on a new turn with the designs for this collection, following the notion of everyday luxury combined with timeless colours, classic silhouettes and delicate cuts this summer 2024 collection becomes a tropical atelier. The founders have always been fascinated by fashion through the ages, as well as modern fashion, they aim to create fresh designs that bring something different to the table.

"Joie de Vivre will forever be at the heart of Araiá Paradis, the classic silk pieces in collection I will be the everyday luxury staples in our wardrobes forever. The journey for us is to keep evolving our array of clothing to bring you the best wardrobe with the most beautiful pieces, reflecting the Joie de Vivre.

For this collection something that inspired us was the Jet Set Era, a time where artists, celebrities, muses and designers would travel to exotic destinations wearing the most beautiful clothing.

We decided to combine ideas from that time with this idea of a tropical paradise. Therefore we created this collection to be classic resort wear, yet also interchangeably summer city attire. These pieces will consist of classic colours, and have the ability to be worn around the world. By using pure cotton they are durable and versatile and continue to represent timeless elegance and natural beauty.

So we introduce to you the Tropical Atelier, consisting of a curated collection of 9 signature pieces. Each piece inspired by something different, made to be the epitome of tropical luxury."

Where do you ship to? 
We currently ship to 67 countries. Within the UK, shipments will be sent via Evri, whereas international orders via Royal Mail.

Every order will have tracking details and will be sent to your inbox to track and view the status of your order.
Processing time: Next Business Day (Orders placed after 12 pm are treated as if they came in the next business day). Once your order is processed, you will receive an email with tracking details directing you to the courier's tracking page.

Free shipping in the UK. 
International shipping will be calculated using Royal Mail. Your shipping fee will be seen at checkout.

Will I have to pay for customs and duties? 
Customs & Duties will vary depending on the region your order is being shipped to and your local tax authorities; therefore, additional duties and taxes may occur. We are not responsible for the additional shipping charges incurred upon delivery. Unpaid duties/taxes by customers may fail to deliver. We will not be accepting returns/refunds from unpaid duties.
We recommend checking with your local postal service for the potential import duties & taxes for fashion in your delivery location before placing an order.  
At customs, taxes/duties are usually calculated based on the total value of the order placed and the shipping fees; therefore, depending on your country’s tax rate, the fees may sometimes reach over £100. Our international courier Royal Mail will contact you via the email/phone number you provided with the appropriate way to pay these fees, once these fees are paid your package will be released from customs. As stated above, Araiá Paradis is unable to cover the additional fees incurred during customs.
Furthermore, during clearance checks in your country, Customs may require you to provide additional identification such as National ID and Passport numbers to clear the package. Therefore, it is important to provide an accurate email/phone number in the checkout so customs can contact you if required.
What if my order never arrives?
Please contact us at customerservice@araiaparadis.com and we will try our best to handle the dispute with the shipment handler. 

Returns & Refunds

What is your returns policy? 
Full refund within 30 days of arrival, by emailing us at customerservice@araiaparadis.com and requesting the return. For items to be fully eligible for the refund, the clothing must still have the tags attached, be undamaged and unworn, and be returned in the original packaging.
Free UK returns. We do not offer free international returns. If you choose to place a return order as an international customer:
Create the return label yourself with the courier of your choosing and ship it to our return address (which will be provided once you request a return).
In your return request if you are unsure of the courier service to use return the parcel to the UK, let us know and we can try and help find a suitable courier service in your country and provide price estimates.

Garments that have been worn, damaged, or returned after 30 days will not be refunded.

Items that are considered to be faulty must be returned for the refund to be put in place.
Have you received my return?

Where will you refund my order? 
If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
When will I get my refund? 
Once the order has been received and approved, you will be refunded within 10 business days to your original payment method. If more than 15 business days have passed since the refund approval, please contact us.

Order Issues

Can I cancel/amend my order after it has been placed? 
Within the first hour of placing your order, you can cancel or amend it. If this is not possible, as we understand that an order may need to be amended after that time, we will do our best to accommodate this. To do this please email customerservice@araiaparadis.com (Please note that our team work Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm GMT, your request will be picked up within this time)
If your order has already been processed then we will no longer be able to amend or cancel the order.
I’ve received the wrong item or size what should I do? 
Contact us at customerservice@araiaparadis.com and we will send you the correct size straight away.
I haven't received my tracking/order confirmation email. 
Tracking information will always be sent to your inbox, if you have also checked junk and it's still not visible, contact us at customerservice@araiaparadis.com
The garment I have received looks different from online.
All garments you see online are what you will be receiving, although every garment is hand cut and individually sewn, so there may be the slightest variations. In terms of colours displayed, this obscured vision can sometimes vary due to viewing the garments on different devices.
