CASA LEJANA

Behind the scenes — An exclusive look into our Nomad Bag Campaign shoot in Yucatán, Mexico.

The Nomad Bag was created as an ode to travelers, to those who are always moving, exploring, and finding a sense of home wherever they go. It’s inspired by the stories gathered, the memories held close, and the moments that stay with you long after you've moved on. With that spirit in mind, we chose “Casa Lejana”, which means “Distant Home” to be the name of our campaign.
This October, after months of sampling and perfecting our Nomad Bag, we traveled to Hacienda Poxilá in Yucatán, Mexico to shoot our campaign, just miles away from where the bag was handcrafted. The hacienda felt untouched, almost hidden in the jungle, yet still open and inviting. It offered a natural sense of exploration and adventure with its lush greenery and winding pathways, tapping into our Spirit of the Tropics ethos. The traditional architecture, rich with age and story, provided the raw authenticity and nostalgia we hoped would be reflected in the design and timeless techniques used by our artisans when crafting the bag.

We kept the production small and personal, surrounded by familiar faces and a relaxed atmosphere that allowed the shoot to unfold naturally. The day was spent wandering through courtyards and rooms, capturing moments of movement and stillness as the Nomad Bag found its story in the space around it.
By late afternoon, we had shot the full campaign and a few videos when, as if on cue, a tropical rainstorm rolled in. It felt like the perfect sign to wrap up. We left the hacienda drenched and exhilarated, feeling grateful, satisfied, and inspired.
In the end, the photos and videos captured more than just a product. They reflected the spirit of our brand and the heart behind every stitch. Looking back, we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. It was a memorable shoot in a place that now feels like part of our story — a Casa Lejana of our own.
